Ballet – The Nutcracker

This is the 22nd Ballet over 11 years that we have filmed for the South Carolina Christian Dance Theater in various environments from a church stage, middle school theaters, community college Theaters, to open air stages, to a wedding venue (during the pandemic) to the Koger Center of the Arts. Each presenting its own unique challenges and opportunity for innovation.

Producing a multi-camera live recording of a ballet is one of the most challenging projects because you are not just dealing with dancers continuously moving across the stage, you are also dealing with continues changing light, as choreographers and lighting techs use light to set the stage for a scene or to create mood. So it is up to the camera crew to capture the best possible video quality across all video cameras.
